Department website. It has been several
years since the old site was maintained.
It is our goal to not only maintain the currency
of our site, but to keep the public aware what's
going on at the firehouse, as well as safety
tips to help keep you safe. Stay informed

4,2008: The Wharton Fire
Department is getting ready to welcome their
brand new Mid-Mount Pierce truck. The
Department was awarded a FEMA grant to replace
the old 321 Snorkel.

Feb.
2008: Wharton Fire
Department was dispatched to Rt. 80 for the
multi-vehicle MVA arriving units found
several cars and a tractor trailer involved in
an accident due to extreme ice conditions due to
the weather.

6/17/2007: Wharton Firefighters
were dispatched to Route 80 for a car Fire.
Arriving units found the vehicle fully involved.
No injuries were reported.
